History
The CooLifting technology has been developed in Spain by a team which specialises in cryo-technology for beauty and aesthetics. CooLifting is an innovative new way to perform skin treatments based upon the combination between the dose of the stimulating hyaluronic solution combined with a cool spray.
The cold CO2 flow (cryophoresis) and the atomised actives combined with the high application pressure (barophoresis) on the epidermis causes penetration of the Coolifting actives and increase its effects. The skin?s temperature is normally at 36 degrees Celsius, so by causing a thermal shock due to the intense cold a reaction in the dermis will be generated which will stimulate the underlying tissues. The blood vessels will contract and expand alternatively when exposed to cold temperatures (action known as paradoxical vessel-motricity). On top of that, the skin benefits from the CO2 which activates blood micro-circulation as it induces production of collagen and elastin and it increases the tissues oxygenation.
The process
An initial consultation with you and your therapist will determine your skin concerns and goals. The skin is then cleansed to remove any make-up or impurities from the surface of the skin. You will be positioned upright with your eyes and mouth closed for the duration of the treatment. Your therapist will use a small hand held device which will emit the cool CO2 and serum onto the skin. To complete your treatment, a cryo facial massage will be performed which will help to relax any tension in the face. The treatment is completely painless.
