Mesotherapy is a non-surgical technique that uses micro-injections to deliver cocktails containing hyaluronic acid, amino acids, antioxidants, enzymes, plant extracts, vitamins and other ingredients into the middle layer of the skin to promote skin rejuvenation by increasing both hydration and fibroblast activation, and re-establish skin tone and elasticity. Mesotherapy is a non-surgical method used for skin ageing, hair loss, stretch marks and is also used for cellulite reduction and body contouring. It was first developed in France in 1952 by the renowned French physician Dr. Michel Pistor for the management of pain and vascular disorders. However, it was discovered that depending on the different substances injected, mesotherapy might also be useful in treating hair loss (alopecia), bone and joint disorders and psoriasis. More recently mesotherapy is widely being used to help with weight loss, cellulite reduction, body sculpting, stretch marks and facial rejuvenation.
An initial consultation with you and your therapist will determine your skin concerns and goals. The skin is then cleansed to remove any make-up or impurities from the surface of the skin.
Depending on your skin concern or goals a bespoke cocktail is then created and injected into the skin. The process involves a series of extremely superficial micro-needles into the skin which allows for transportation of the ingredients within the cocktail to the epidermal-dermal layer of the skin. The treatment can be applied to the whole face, neck, chest and hands.
