Profhilo is one of the latest innovations to treat skin laxity and hydrate the skin by bio-remodelling. Profhilo is a stabilised hyaluronic acid-based product and the first product free of any chemical cross-linked agents for treating skin laxity. It contains one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market.
Although the majority of dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, Profhilo is not a dermal filler as it doesn’t add volume or enhances face features. The molecule chains of both high and low molecular weight non-animal hyaluronic acid are stabilised and fused together to create a unique complex which spreads and becomes integrated into the skin. Profhilo diffuses within the tissue after injection and over the period of 4 weeks after each injection, it stimulates 4 different types of collagen and elastin.
Process
Your specialist will firstly carry out a consultation with you to find out your skin concerns and goals. Your skin is then thoroughly cleansed to remove any make-up or impurities from the surface of the skin. The Profhilo is injected into five key points on the face starting with each side just next to the ears, then on to the nasolabial folds, chin, under the eyes and on the tops of cheeks. The substance is injected just below the skin’s surface and disperses quickly across the skin to instantly boost hydration, consequently smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, resulting in improved skin texture.
